Google Page Rank Update September 2008 - Another PR Update?

It seems like Google has increased the frequency of their Page Rank update. The last PR update happened just two months back. The latest one has already been started this weekend as many blogs again lost their PR. This blog 'Potpourri' has lost its PR from PR 4 to PR 3. Some sites have gained PR too such as Funny Jokes, Funny Pranks (PR 3 in first PR Update, then PR 1 in last PR update and now again PR 2 in this latest Google PR update) and Sizzling Celebrity (From PR 0 to PR 1 in this Google Update). There are various other examples of Google PageRank change in this latest Google Page RankUpdate, September 2008. Previous year there was a gap of 6 months between two major Google Page Rank Update and the big one took place in January 2008 Google Page Rank Update

The clue is coming again from Mr. Matt Cutts. He stated the following on a comment on his blog two days ago:

"I wouldn’t be surprised if new PageRanks started showing up this weekend or so."

I think that Perhaps Google is tweaking their algorithm, so they need to update things more frequently?
