Colorodao Road Conditions, Terrible Car Crash Killed Seven Canadians, a shocking story!

Seven Canadians killed in fiery Colorado car crash identified. Three of the victims were only 16, 3 and 21 months old. Relatives cite driver fatigue

The Colorado State Patrol released the names of seven Canadians killed in this one-vehicle crash Thanksgiving Day. The names were released to the Canadian Press at 8:00pm Friday night.

The State Patrol said the Larimer County Coroner identified the occupants killed in the crash as Alberta, Canada residents:

* Jacob Rempel Sr., 42 of Vauxhall;
* Susana Rempel, 40 of Vauxhall;
* Jacob Rempel Jr., 16 of Vauxhall;
* Susana Rempel, 30 of Willingdom;
* Johan Rempel, 3, of Willingdom;
* Heinrich Rempel, 21 months of Willingdom
* Joseph Dick, 33, of Taber

All seven of the victims pronounced dead at the scene.

The two families were on their way to Alberta from Mexico, "driving day and night" to get back for medical appointments, says a relative. Their Chevy Suburban plunged off an overpass and sailed about 15 metres before it hit a concrete embankment and burst into flames.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper Gilbert Mares said the vehicle was northbound on Interstate 25 when it suddenly veered off to the left side of the road and traveled along the median until the median ended at the Colorado 60 overpass.

The SUV then became airborne, sailed 40 to 50 feet, crashed into a concrete barrier and burst into flames.

RIP for those seven people.

The Christmas List, Barack Obama's Holiday Wish List?

President-elect Barack Obama to Americans: Shop 'til you drop...almost.

"What we don't want to do is get caught up in a spiral where people pull back from the economy, businesses then pull back, jobs are reduced and we get into a downward spiral," Obama said Wednesday, his third straight day of giving the nation an economic pep talk.

"People should understand that help is on the way," the soon-to-be-President reassured. "As they think about this Thanksgiving shopping weekend and as they think about the Christmas season that's coming up, I hope that everybody understands that we are going to get through these difficult times."

Obama said his family would be breaking out the greenbacks on Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, to give the economy a boost.

"We are gonna do some Christmas shopping," he said. His daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, have sent their wish list to Santa, he said, "but we may do some extra shopping as well.

Merry christmas

macy s thanksgiving day parade 2008 by marching bands, floats, and falloons

Accompanied by marching bands, floats, and falloons (a term that the Macy’s Parade Studio coined for a float with a balloon character on it) Delta will proudly fly through the streets of New York City tomorrow as the official airline sponsor of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Tune in to see us on the Statue of Liberty float during NBC’s telecast around 11:20 a.m.

For our friends in New York City, the parade will start on 77th St and proceed down Central Park West to Columbus Circle, then down Broadway to Macy’s at 34th St, finishing on 7th Ave (see map here). I’ve heard the best spots to watch are at Columbus Circle and Times Square, or at Central Park West, between 66th and 77th Streets.

Three Headed Dog, Kerberos, Cerberus Capital Management, LLC acts as 3 headed dog

Cerberus (Kerberos) was described as a three-headed dog with a serpent's tail, a mane of snakes, and a lion's claws. He was designated to prevent ghosts of the dead from leaving the underworld. The 3 headed dog guards the gates of the underworld in greek mythology.

According to CSIRO scientist Dr Wenju Cai three-headed dog savaging Australia's climate. we don't know that It's just rumor or true matter.

But actually the scene is something different.Makes you wonder if the auto-industry is the three headed dog that guards the gate of a depression. Cerberus Capital Management owns 80% of Chrysler and 51% of GMAC. See more about their role in the economy and a video below.

Cerberus has said they will take no money in profits from Chrysler if the government bails out the company. They also had in mind for the government to take an ownership interest. Now congress has asked them to come up with a better plan and bring it back. It is apparent that they will have to have convincing proof that they will not profit from the bailout. They will have to bring some plan of “accountability” in Speaker Pelosi’s words.

So who is Cerberus Capital Management, LLC? The company was founded by Stephen Feinberg and Bill Richter, now senior managing directors. But get this, guess who is an executive? Dan Quayle. Yes, the very Dan Quayle who has been brought up in this election as a comparison to Sarah Palin. I know some of you out there are saying, ‘no wonder Chrysler is crap.’ Well John Snow, former Treasury Secretary under the current Bush is also an executive.

In another twist, GMAC announced yesterday that it is applying to be a bank holding company. They are probably trying to get a piece of the bailout that has mainly helped financial institutions. The problem is that under current federal law, non-banking companies cannot own more than 25% of such a holding company. As mentioned above, Cerberus owns 51% and General Motors owns 49%. Cerberus executives are apparently still optimistic that this could go through. Plans are in the work to make it happen.

TURKEY IN THE BARNYARD

Turkey in the barnyard, what does he say?
Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble all day.
Turkey on the table, what do I say?
Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy all day.
Turkey in my tummy, what do I say?
I ate too much on Thanksgiving Day!

THANKSGIVING DAY

Thanksgiving Day will soon be here
It comes around but once a year
If I could only have my way,
We'd have Thanksgiving every day.

THANKSGIVING POEM

T is for the trust the pilgrims had so many years ago
H is for the harvest the settlers learnt to grow
A is for America, the land in which we live
N is for nature and beauty which she gives
K is for kindness, gentle words, thoughtful deeds
S is for smiles, the sunshine everyone needs
G is for gratitude... our blessings big and small
I is for ideas, letting wisdom grow tall
V is for voices, singing, laughing, always caring
I is for Indians, who taught them about sharing
N is for neighbors, across the street, over the sea
G is for giving of myself to make a better me

Thankful

Week before Thanksgiving,
I limp around real strange.
Huddle in the corner,
As though I have the mange.
All the other turkeys,
Just gobble, gobble on.
I'm silent, and I act
As if my gobbler's gone. Everyone is thankful
On Thanksgiving Day.
Friday it's forgotten.
You all go on your way.
I know what thankful is
So listen when I say.
"It's great to be a turkey,
After Thanksgiving Day."

More Than A Day

As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, quite profound.
We may think that we're poor,
Feel like bums, insecure,
But in truth, our riches astound.

We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from heaven above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.

So add up your blessings, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you've got;
Realize it's a lot,
And you'll make all your cares go away.

A Family Thanksgiving

Mom and Dad And all the folks
Who sit around the table,
All give thanks to the Lord above
For the fact that we are able
To have the food and shelter
We all need to survive,
And have the love of family
That makes it good to be alive.

Love letters straight from your heart

Love letters straight from your heart
Keep us so near, while apart
I'm not alone in the night
When I can have
all the love you write
I memorize every line
And I kiss the name
that you sign
And darling then
I read again
right from the start
Love letters straight

Katrina Kaifs Duplicate - Zarina Khan Spotted By Salman

After finding a photocopy of ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai for his flick Lucky, Salman Khan has done it again, this time he has found a ditto copy of his current flame Katrina Kaif.

Zarina Khan, was spotted by Salman Khan on the sets of Yuvraaj, where she is Katrina’s body double. And after spotting her similarity with Katrina he has decided to cast her opposite himself in Veer.

A source reveals, “Zarina is slightly younger than Katrina, her age is 21. If one was to see Zarina from afar then you would not be able to make out who is who. Zarina’s name will be changed before the film releases and she will be given a much more common Hindu name.”

The girl has been in hiding, as Salman wants to keep it a secret, but we will surely show you the pic as soon we lay our hands on it.

Veterans Day Today, 11th November 2008 - Salute Veterans by Veterans Day Poems, Veterans Day e Cards, Veterans Day Greetings And Wishes

Today is Veterans Day To Honor America's troops. Four score and 10 years ago, the guns of World War I fell silent in Europe. From that event, the commemoration of Veterans Day in the United States evolved. Today, in the midst of two active and deadly wars in Asia, Americans pause to recognize those who have served the nation in the military.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, a single veteran of World War I survives today. He is joined by about 2.3 million veterans of World War II and about the same number of vets from the Korean War. Some 7.1 million veterans of the Vietnam War survive, as do about 2.3 million from the first Gulf War. In sum, there are about 23.4 million veterans still with us who have served the nation in war or peace.

The latest Americans to join their numbers are men and women who have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. To date, there have been about a million deployments. Some 4,180 Americans have been killed in action in Iraq, and another 617 have died in Afghanistan. About 33,305 have been wounded in action.

Today's wars have an odd place in the public consciousness. They seem to be there and not there simultaneously. We live in what has been dubbed The Information Age, where a Google click can bring instant statistics and personal stories of the wars to any computer screen. Yet the American public is singularly unengaged in these wars, to the point that veterans groups actually find it necessary to remind the rest of us of the sacrifices Americans in uniform are making every day.

Earlier this year, the leader of one veterans group attributed that lack of awareness to the fact that only about one-half of 1 percent of the American population is directly involved in the wars. By comparison, he said, about 12 percent of Americans were directly engaged in World War II.

Whatever the reason, Americans have a duty to hold their government accountable not only for the support of the troops in the field and their families at home, but for their care when the veterans march home. To that end, it is particularly important that the Bush and Obama administrations address ways to recruit more mental-health professionals to combat high rates of post-traumatic stress disorder and depression among returning troops.

They served us. Now it's our turn to serve them.

Thanksgiving Prayers, A Thanksgiving Prayer For The Day Of Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day Prayers

You should start your Thanksgiving day with a thanksgiving prayer.

Below are some Thanksgiving Prayers for Thanksgiving Day.

Though our mouths were full of song as the sea,
and our tongues of exultation as the multitude of its waves,
and our lips of praise as the wide-extended firmament;
though our eyes shone with light like the sun and the moon,
and our hands were spread forth like the eagles of heaven,
and our feet were swift as hinds,
we should still be unable to thank thee and bless thy name,
O Lord our God and God of our fathers,
for one thousandth or one ten thousandth part of the bounties which thou has bestowed upon our fathers and upon us.

- from the Hebrew Prayer Book

Thanksgiving

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

We Give Thanks

Our Father in Heaven,
We give thanks for the pleasure
Of gathering together for this occasion.
We give thanks for this food
Prepared by loving hands.
We give thanks for life,
The freedom to enjoy it all
And all other blessings.
As we partake of this food,
We pray for health and strength
To carry on and try to live as You would have us.
This we ask in the name of Christ,
Our Heavenly Father.

- Harry Jewell

"Give Thanks"

Autumn leaves are falling,
Pretty colors everywhere.
Thanksgiving day is almost here,
Another day that we may share.

The things we take for granted
Are blessings from above.
The needs He has provided,
Were given to us in love.

Let's give thanks for what we have,
Bow our heads and together pray.
As we join our friends and family,
On this Thanksgiving Day.

They all asked the farmer how it tasted.
"I don't know" said the farmer. "I never could catch the darn thing!"

The pro football team had just finished their daily practice session when a large turkey came strutting onto the field. While the players gazed in amazement, the turkey walked up to the head coach and demanded a tryout. Everyone stared in silence as the turkey caught pass after pass and ran right through the defensive line. When the turkey returned to the sidelines, the coach shouted, "You're terrific!!! Sign up for the season, and I'll see to it that you get a huge bonus." "Forget the bonus," the turkey said, "All I want to know is, does the season go past Thanksgiving Day?"

Veterans Day Poems, Salute the veterans

Salute those unforgettable heroes in Veterans Day by these Veterans Day Poems.

Veterans Day

By Taylor Weinman

Representing the red white and blue

The colors of our flag stand out proud and true.

The white stars on blue background with red and white stripes

Remind me of these veterans, who all risked their lives.

Just so the people of the U.S. could all live in peace and be free

These are the heroes that represent you and me.

They stood up strongly, untied as one,

And kept up the fighting until they were done.

And although some have fallen, and lost their lives in war,

We pray for each one of them.

And now that their souls live on forever more,

Above in God's hands.

They watch over our nation,

And give us strength to triumph over others with strong anticipation.

So every year, when this day comes by,

Think of all the veterans that while fighting, had to die.

And remember that they were people

With fire and passion embedded inside.

They die for this country,

So remember and honor them with pride

Veterans

by Brittany Skinner

They were there,

And they remember,

The shock, the horror

Of watching strangers die.

A life ended

By a fellow soldier's shaking hands.

The unimaginable debt,

Owed by a free world

Can never be repaid,

Still we try

Giving up an hour, a day

To thank you for the burden you now carry

Laid there so we can live our lives.

They fought,

And killed

Enemies with faces

Identities unknown to the bullets

Shattering the protective shield

Laid there by those they loved.

For one day a year we honor you

For our lives,

It can never compare

Still we try

Thanking you on this day

For a million moments

You lived so we could too.

Veterans Day, Veterans, Veterans Day Greetings, Veterans Day E Cards

Veterans Day is an annual American holiday honoring military veterans. Both a federal holiday and a state holiday in all states, it is usually observed on November 11. However, if it occurs on a Sunday then the following Monday is designated for holiday leave, and if it occurs Saturday then either Saturday or Friday may be so designated. It is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.)

A 'war veteran' (from Latin vetus, meaning "old") is a person who has or is working in the armed forces, or a person who has had long service or experience in an occupation or office.

For the most part, war veterans are treated with great respect in society. In Russia, a tradition was established after the Second World War, where newly married couples would on their wedding day visit a military cemetery. In France, for instance, those wounded in war are given the first claim on any seat on public transit. Most countries have a holiday such as Veterans Day to honor veterans, along with the war dead.

Salute the veteran in your life and send him your love and warm wishes 'coz it's Veteran's Day. Honor those who have fought for America and died for it's freedom. Veterans Day commemorates the extraordinary life led by those in service of the nation. It's time to honor the brave soldiers who safeguard our peace and freedom. Share their fearless spirit with people you know and love. Inspire them more through these elegant veterans day ecards and veterans day greetings.
